Problems with downloaded diagrams and other illustrations?

Occasionally problems may be experienced when using downloaded diagrams in other applications, e.g. when preparing a PowerPoint presentation. If a simple copy-and-paste technique is applied, some figures may not show up satisfactorily (or at all) in your final presentation. If you experience this problem, try to remedy the situation by first downloading and saving the file to a directory on your own computer, and then import this file into your presentation. In most cases, this will solve the problem.
